Project Manager – Mission Critical

Location: Various | Full-time | Travel Required

Overview

Michels Power, Inc. is a leading power delivery contractor that designs, constructs, and restores electrical infrastructure across the United States. Our Substation group is pivotal in building and maintaining the backbone of the electric grid—from greenfield builds to brownfield upgrades—supporting grid reliability and future‑ready infrastructure.

Responsibilities

• Manage a phase of a large complex project or multiple medium‑size projects ($500K–$20M) from proposal through profitable completion.
• Ensure all aspects of a project’s success, with a special emphasis on safety performance.
• Coordinate with cross‑functional teams, field personnel, and customers to meet or exceed client expectations.

Qualifications

• Experience managing substation/utility specific projects in the Mission Critical/Hyperscale markets.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office; familiarity with job cost tracking and estimating software is a plus.
• Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record.
• Ability to travel and commit to long‑term onsite project assignments.
• Strong organizational, time‑management, writing, and verbal communication skills.
• Willingness to learn, take initiative, and grow within the company.
