OverviewActs as the course coordinator for the Communication Public Speaking course. Responsibilities include curriculum development, training facilitation, supervision of graduate teaching assistants, and providing for‑credit instruction in classroom, online, or laboratory settings.
Key Job Responsibilities- Develop and design curriculum and instructional materials.
- Teach three for‑credit classes per semester; one large lecture in Public Speaking and additional courses as needed.
- Facilitate classroom, online, and/or laboratory instruction and assess student performance.
- Design and conduct training for graduate student teaching assistants.
- Supervise student employees involved in instruction development or delivery.
- Collaborate with faculty and staff to develop effective teaching strategies.
- Excellent undergraduate teaching experience in Public Speaking or a related course.
- Willingness to work with and engage diverse students and colleagues.
- M.A. in Communication or a related discipline.
- Experience with online teaching.
- Ph.D. in Communication or related discipline.
- Experience coordinating multiple sections of a large course.
- Experience mentoring and supporting graduate student teachers.
$50,000 – $55,000 (final salary based on qualifications and experience).
