This role also includes the development and supervision of graduate practicum experiences for graduate and potentially undergraduate students. Typical full-time teaching load for the professor track is 24 credits per year, while appointments in the lecturer track are 30 credits per year. This is a full-time, mainly on-campus position that may require occasional evening and weekend work, depending on program needs.

The position requires a master's degree; a doctorate degree is preferred. Coursework at the master's or doctoral level in Sport or Recreation Management or a related discipline is required, and experience in supervising students and/or teaching in higher education is preferred.

Qualified candidates should send a cover letter discussing background, interests, and teaching philosophy in the context of a confessional Lutheran liberal arts college; curriculum vitae; and three letters of recommendation, including one letter from their pastor, discussing personal qualities via email to human.resources.
