Food Service Coordinator
HOPE Christian Schools (Milwaukee, WI)

Job Purpose

Under the direction of the School Operations Manager and the Principal, the Food Service Coordinator will lead the preparation and serving of daily lunch and breakfast for all scholars while ensuring the wellness plan is followed to fidelity. She/he will work closely with school leadership to provide a positive, clean, and safe cafeteria environment.

Responsibilities
  • Prepare and serve food for daily lunch and breakfast in accordance with safe food handling practices as determined by the local Health Department.
  • Perform regular inventory and communicate orders to the food service provider.
  • Properly label and store all perishable and non‑perishable food items.
  • Communicate any concerns with the food vendor and administration in a timely manner.
  • Clean and sanitize all kitchen surfaces, tabletops, floors, food trays, and dispose of garbage.
  • Attend mandatory trainings and complete required paperwork as mandated by the Department of Education/Instruction.
  • Maintain a supply list for cleaning and communicate needs to the School Operations Manager.
  • Ensure that the wellness plan is followed.
  • Live and act as a biblical role model and represent HOPE Christian Schools in your personal life for scholars, team members, and the community.
  • Agree to always comply with the Code of Conduct and Statement of Faith.
  • Engage in the faith life of scholars and collaborate with other team members.
  • Perform other duties as requested or required.

  • Provide vigilant supervision for the physical safety and well‑being of scholars while on campus or off campus for school functions.
Collaborative Relationships
  • Build rapport with scholars, parents, and families.
  • Continuously improve teaching skills by seeking constructive feedback and professional development opportunities.
Resource Management
  • Maintain accurate and complete records, including but not limited to attendance, behavior, student achievement data, grades, progress reports, parent communication, and textbooks.
