A teaching professor (assistant/associate) contributes to the CSD graduate and undergraduate program with a strong record of teaching, classroom innovation and student interactions. They are expected to independently create and redesign a range of courses in their field of expertise, being able to assess student performance and learning outcomes, and to provide formal or informal advising on students’ academic and career directions.  

Contributions in the scholarship of teaching and learning and supervision of student employees delivering instruction (Teaching Assistant) are part of this role as well as fostering collaboration with faculty and staff in the development of teaching strategies.

A minimum of three years of work experience in the field of communication sciences and disorders (clinically and/or academically) with relevant experience in student mentorship   Evidence of one year of teaching experience (classroom or clinical supervision)  by continuing education on this topic, Experience in academic program review or accreditation and/or graduate admissions (evidenced by a record of participation, roles and/or responsibilities in those activities)
