Eastbrook Academy (EBA) is seeking a Middle and High School Principal to manage the overall day-to-day operations of the middle and high school, and to execute the vision and strategic direction set forth by the Head of School and the Eastbrook Academy Board of Directors.

The Principal reports directly to the Head of School and serves as a key member of the Strategic Leadership Team. They provide overall leadership for academics, behavior, safety, spiritual development, student retention and academic instruction, aligning with the Eastbrook Academy School Mission. The Principal also partners with Eastbrook Church leadership, the Board of Directors, school staff, parents and students. This collaborative work is essential to help EBA accomplish its mission:
To support families from diverse backgrounds in the academic and spiritual development of their children, imparting a rigorous education inspired by the classical model in a loving environment committed to Christ-like living, preparing students to be prepared to excel in college and life-ready to have an impact on the world.

Supervisory Responsibilities
  • Oversee the daily operations of the Middle and High School
  • Provides constructive and timely performance evaluations for direct reports.
  • Directly mentors’ Middle and High School faculty to foster a culture of professional growth and high accountability.
  • Guide and supervise weekly Middle school and High school team meetings in collaboration with the MS and HS Lead Teachers.
  • Recruits, interviews, hires and trains new Middle and High School faculty.
Requirements
Instructional Leadership
  • Provide regular coaching, evaluation, and guidance to all middle and high school faculty and staff for effective instruction and spiritual growth.
  • Uphold the academic standards and curricular guidelines set forth by the Director of Curriculum and Instruction. The Principal is responsible for ensuring faithful implementation of the established curriculum in all MS/HS classrooms.
  • Serve as a key voice and collaborative partner on the Instructional Leadership Team (ILT), led by the Director of Curriculum and Instruction, to strategically plan professional development.
Administrative Leadership
  • Serve as the primary high school and middle school administrator during the school day by having a high presence and availability to all students, faculty, and parents. Attends all Academy events where the primary focus is on the MS and HS. Also attends other promotional events for the Academy as determined by the Head of School.
  • Develop and implement strategies to proactively retain middle and high school students, building on the philosophy that students do brave and beautiful things when they know they are seen and loved.
  • Ensure student discipline is addressed in a consistent, fair, and timely manner. Keep accurate documentation of all academic and/or behavior issues, conferences, and phone calls. Uphold rules and regulations put forth by the EBA Student Handbook.
