Position Summary
Bader Hillel Academy is seeking a passionate and dedicated General Education Teacher for multiple grades (K5–8) to join our collaborative and nurturing school community. This role focuses on delivering high-quality instruction in general studies while supporting the academic, social, and emotional growth of students within a Jewish day school environment
. The ideal candidate values strong relationships, differentiated instruction, and a child-centered approach to learning.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging instruction in General Education subjects
, which may include Language Arts, Mathematics, Science, and Social Studies, aligned with state standards and school curriculum - Differentiate instruction to meet the diverse learning needs of students
- Integrate critical thinking, problem-solving, and age-appropriate technology into lessons
- Maintain a structured, supportive, and inclusive classroom environment
Student Support & Assessment
- Monitor student progress through assessments, observations, and data analysis
- Provide timely feedback to students and families
- Support students’ social-emotional development and positive classroom behavior
- Collaborate with learning support staff as needed to support individual student needs
- Work collaboratively with Judaic Studies teachers, specialists, and administrators to support the whole child
- Communicate effectively and regularly with parents/guardians regarding student progress and classroom updates
- Participate in team meetings, professional development, and school events
School Community & Culture
- Support and model the school’s values, mission, and community standards
- Respect and positively engage in the Jewish culture, calendar, and traditions of the school (no Judaic teaching required for this role)
- Contribute to a warm, respectful, and inclusive school environment
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Education or a related field
- Valid Wisconsin teaching license (or ability to obtain)
- Experience teaching at the elementary or middle school level preferred
- Strong classroom management and organizational skills
- Commitment to student-centered learning and professional growth
- Respect for and willingness to work within a Jewish day school setting
