Pediatric Pulmonology/Sleep Faculty (Academic Faculty-Open Rank)

The Division of Pediatric Pulmonary and Sleep Medicine at the Medical College of Wisconsin (MCW) and Childrens Wisconsin (CW) has a position available for a full-time pediatric pulmonary and sleep physician to join its well-established group of eleven physicians and six advanced practice nurses. This is an excellent opportunity to be a part of a collegial academic medical center and work in an established Childrens Hospital ranked as one of the best in the US.

Position Highlights:

The Division of Pulmonary and Sleep Medicine is dedicated to excellence in patient care, education, and research. Highlights of the program include:

• An accredited Cystic Fibrosis Center providing comprehensive care for more than 200 patients.
• A fully equipped Pediatric Sleep Disorders Center featuring a state-of-the-art, 8-bed sleep laboratory accredited by the American Academy of Sleep Medicine (AASM).
• Robust clinical programs focused on asthma, technology-dependent children, apnea and bronchopulmonary dysplasia (BPD), pulmonary hypertension, bronchoscopy, and pulmonary function testing.
• Active participation in multidisciplinary programs addressing aerodigestive disorders, neuromuscular disease, sickle cell disease, and pulmonary hypertension.

Division of Pediatric Pulmonology:

Division staff members include pulmonary nurses and research coordinators, as well as excellent nutritional, respiratory therapy, pharmacy, psychology, and social service support. We have a pediatric pulmonary fellowship program, and our sleep faculty take an active role in the ACGME-sponsored sleep fellowship.

The Divisions faculty is involved in clinical research as a TDN site through the CF Foundation and within the Childrens Research Institute (CRI) of the Medical College of Wisconsin and Childrens Hospital of Wisconsin. Childrens Hospital of Wisconsin has a pediatric Translational Research Unit to facilitate clinical and translational research.

Qualifications

• Medical degree (MD, DO, or equivalent)from an accredited institution.
• Board certification (or eligibility in Pediatric Pulmonology.
• State medical licensure, or eligibility to obtain license, in the state of Wisconsin.
• Rank will be determined by the qualifications and experience of the successful finalist.
