The MCW Department of Ophthalmology and Visual Sciences is seeking an academically oriented Glaucoma Specialist to join the faculty at the Medical College of Wisconsin in Milwaukee. This open-rank, full-time position is available in a clinician-educator track.
Position Overview:
Primary Clinical Setting:
Froedtert & Medical College of Wisconsin Eye Institute
(Includes occasional satellite clinics, 1-2 half-days per week)Additional Coverage:
- Childrens Wisconsin
- Froedtert Hospital
- Zablocki VA Medical Center
Educational Role:
Opportunity to mentor and teach Ophthalmology residents
About Our Team
The MCW eye and vision group is a physician-led department with:
- 36 physicians
- 9 optometrists
- 5 research Ph Ds
Successful candidates should demonstrate:
- Strong clinical abilities
- Well-developed interpersonal skills
- Enthusiasm for MCWs academic mission
- Board Certification/Eligibility by the American Board of Ophthalmology
- Completion of a Glaucoma Fellowship
- Eligibility for Wisconsin Medical Licensure
- Interest in clinical or basic science research (start-up support available)
