Position Opening
The Center for 21st Century Studies has one to two openings for graduate student fellows for the academic year. These positions are open to students at the Master’s or Doctoral level. Working at C21 provides graduate students the opportunity to meet visiting scholars, attend C21 events, and gain experience planning and producing academic media, executing communication strategies, developing C21’s web presence, publicizing events, and assisting with grant applications.
PositionDescription
Graduate Fellows aid in the execution of this programming through five major initiatives: social media communications, website development, podcast and video editing, graphic design/marketing, and community outreach. Candidates for the position must be able to work independently. Some evening work may be required on.

C21’s critical areas of need for the 2025-26 academic year are:
1) marketing and communications (including marketing strategy, social media, and graphic design),
2) grant writing, and
3) community outreach, in that order. Preference will be given to candidates whose skills and interests are most aligned with our areas of need. Preference will also be given to candidates who can work 15 to 20 hours per week.

Salary$19/hr hourly positions do not receive benefits. Hours range from 10 to 20 per week.
Appointment PeriodThe 2025-26 academic year (9th months) with opportunity to renew for 2026-27.
