Safety Coordinator – Mission‑Critical Data Center Project (Milwaukee, WI)

Our client—an industry‑leading mechanical contractor with a national footprint—Progressive Safety is seeking to hire Safety Coordinators who wants to grow, take ownership, and help drive a world‑class safety culture on a major mission‑critical project near Milwaukee.

This isn’t a clipboard‑and‑checklist job. It’s hands‑on, field‑focused, and central to keeping a complex, fast‑paced project running safely and efficiently.

What You’ll Do
  • Take the lead on daily site safety tours and inspections
    , ensuring compliance with OSHA and company standards.
  • Identify hazards, document findings, and work with field leadership to implement corrective actions.
  • Support the Safety Manager in rolling out safety programs
    , training, and initiatives that keep crews engaged and informed.
  • Review daily JHAs and address gaps before work begins.
  • Maintain all required safety documentation, including incident reports, inspection logs, and training records.
  • Participate in incident investigations
    , root‑cause analysis, and follow‑up actions.
  • Deliver new‑hire safety orientations and assist with ongoing employee training.

You’ll be a visible, trusted partner in the field—someone the crews know, respect, and rely on.

What You Bring
  • 2+ years of construction safety experience (mechanical, industrial, or mission‑critical experience is a plus).
  • OSHA 10/30 required
    ;
  • CPR/First Aid preferred.
  • Working knowledge of OSHA regulations and safety management systems.
  • Strong communication skills—you know how to connect with craft workers, foremen, and project leadership.
  • Solid problem‑solving instincts and the confidence to speak up when something isn’t right.
  • Ability to stay organized in a fast‑moving environment and keep documentation tight.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and comfort accessing OSHA resources online.
