How You'll Contribute
As a Superintendent at Gardner Builders, you'll be the on-site lead for construction operations-balancing the details, managing field teams, and serving as a point of connection between trade partners, clients, and your internal project team. From the start of a project through closeout, you'll be responsible for:
- Leading and coordinating daily site operations across multiple project
- Managing schedules, sequencing work, and ensuring progress aligns with project goals
- Maintaining a safe, clean, and organized jobsite
- Driving quality by proactively identifying and resolving issues before they become problem
- Communicating with trade partners, field staff, and project managers to ensure alignment
- Hosting weekly foremen meetings to keep everyone informed and on track
- Ordering materials, scheduling inspections, and maintaining accurate records
- Acting as a visible, responsive, and reliable presence on site
- Jumping in as needed to solve problems quickly, professionally, and collaboratively
What Success Looks Like
You'll know you're succeeding when:
- Jobsites are safe, organized, and on schedule.
- Communication flows clearly between field and office
- Team members feel supported, informed, and engaged
- Trade partners trust your leadership and value working with you
- Clients are impressed by the smooth execution and the way your team shows up
- 5-10 years of experience as a superintendent in commercial construction
- Strong knowledge of construction sequencing, trade scopes, and site logistics
- Familiarity with healthcare, commercial interiors, industrial, higher education, historical/repositioning, mission-critical, and/or life science construction
- A humble, team-oriented approach and the ability to manage several tasks at once while keeping a cool head
- Confidence in reading plans, coordinating teams, and adapting to change.
- OSHA certification
- Proficiency with scheduling software, construction platforms like Procore, Google tools, Microsoft Office tools, and Apple devices
- Ability to maintain a satisfactory Motor Vehicle Record
- Experience in drywall, finish carpentry, or millwork
- Experience scheduling integrated teams using Outbuild scheduling software (or similar, ie Privmavera P6, Microsoft Project, etc)
- Experience leading integrated teams on complex renovation projects
- Deep knowledge of safety protocols and permitting processes
- A proactive, problem-solving mindset-and a calm presence when things get tough

Compensation & Benefits
- Annual Salary: $90,000 - $125,000 annual salary (paid weekly) + discretionary bonus.
