• $16.03 to $20.04 per hour | Depending on Experience

• Assist in maintaining a safe play environment for children in the drop-off center and always ensure appropriate supervision of the children.
• Collect required information from parents regarding the children in the center.
• Provide children with a variety of age appropriate, multicultural activities, toys, and books, and supervise their use of these supplies.
• Provide children with healthy snacks and beverages.
• Engage the children in activities that promote social, cognitive, and emotional growth.
• Communicate with parents as needed and appropriate.
• Complete and submit necessary reports such as incident reports within 24 hours of any occurrence.
• Report suspected Child Abuse & Neglect incidents in accordance with WI State Statutes and UMOS Policy & Procedure.
• Assist with daily attendance reports and other weekly or monthly reports as needed.
• Ensure confidentiality of parents and children.
• Maintain all safety and security standards and procedures.

• Weigh all donations, sort them and put them at their designated areas.
• Prepare food baskets according to family size guidelines.
• Complete client intakes to distribute food and non-food items.
• Provide information and referral to community resources.
• Maintain and organize inventory, keep storage area stocked and clean.
• Attend meetings, conferences, workshops and perform special projects and other related duties as assigned.
• Other duties as assigned.

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Completed training in Early Childhood Education 1, First Aid with Choking, Adult & Pediatric CPR/AED, SIDS.
• One year of childcare experience required.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• A desire to work with children, and sensitivity to the needs of W-2 children and families.
• Have access to reliable transportation.
• Bilingual in English/Spanish preferred.
• Ability to work with confidential information and documentation.
• Must possess awareness, knowledge, and sensitivity to socioeconomic and culturally diverse backgrounds of the target population served.
• Ability to work diplomatically with difficult people and diffuse angry customers quickly and effectively.
