Location: Milwaukee, WI. The position is remote, but the individual must be out of the greater Milwaukee area as this is the territory they will be working within.

Data Strait Networks is a leading provider of structured cabling and data center infrastructure solutions. We partner with enterprise clients, low-voltage contractors, and distributors to deliver high-performance connectivity systems across commercial and mission-critical environments.

Position Overview

We are seeking a Business Development / Sales Professional to drive growth in the eastern Wisconsin market. The ideal candidate has a strong understanding of structured cabling and data center infrastructure products — and the ambition to build relationships that expand our footprint in the commercial and enterprise sectors.

Key Responsibilities
  • Identify and develop new business opportunities within commercial, enterprise, and data center markets.
  • Build and maintain relationships with distributors, low-voltage contractors, and end users.
  • Promote structured cabling solutions, including copper and fiber optic systems, server racks, cabinets, power, and related products.
  • Collaborate with internal technical and operations teams to support client requirements and project delivery.
  • Develop and execute territory sales plans to achieve growth and revenue targets.
  • Track market trends and competitive activity to identify new areas of opportunity.
Qualifications
  • 3-5+ years of proven experience in business development or sales within the structured cabling
    , data center
    , or low-voltage industry.
  • RCDD accreditation or similar technical credentials is a plus.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills.
  • Solid understanding of network infrastructure products and installation practices.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with a self-driven, results-oriented approach.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with a broader team.
