Commodity Specialist Level 2

Overview

Our Client, a Manufacturing Conglomerate company, is looking for a Commodity Specialist Level 2 for their Milwaukee, WI location.

• Designs, implements and administers commodity acquisition strategy.
• Includes procurement support, commodity business plans, market trends assessment, pricing and product availability. Develops negotiation strategies to create a win-win relationship between the company and suppliers.
• Assists in identifying new, high potential suppliers. Frequently interacts with peers and customers to gain cooperation of others or conduct presentations of technical information/project activities.
• Builds productive internal/external working relationships.
• Works on issues of moderate scope where analysis of situations or data requires a review of relevant factors. Exercises judgment within defined procedures and practices to determine appropriate action.
• Receives assignments in the form of objectives with goals and the process by which to meet goals.
• Normally receives general instructions on routine work, detailed instructions on new projects or assignments.
• Legal authorization to work in the US is required.
• Client will not sponsor individuals for employment visas, now or in the future, for this job opening.

• Typically requires a minimum of 2 years of related experience.
• Developing professional expertise. Applies company policies and procedures to resolve variety of issues.
• 2 years of experience in international transportation operations preferred.
