Job Overview
Founded in 1999, Progressive Community Health Centers is an independent non‑profit organization that operates four clinic locations in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Our mission is to improve the health and quality of life of the community by providing culturally competent services to roughly 16,000 patients annually, most of whom are low‑income. We provide family medicine, internal medicine, women’s health, urgent care, dental, radiology, integrated behavioral health, and supportive services such as case management and health education.
Location:
Milwaukee, WI. Salary: $52,000 - $57,000 per year.
The Purchasing Coordinator is responsible for managing the procurement of goods and services essential to the organization’s operations. This role involves coordinating purchasing activities, maintaining an inventory‑software database, maintaining vendor relationships, ensuring timely delivery of supplies, and optimizing procurement processes for cost effectiveness and efficiency. The Coordinator must exercise discretion in executing essential functions and be able to work independently, following through on assignments with minimal direction.
ResponsibilitiesManage procurement of goods and services.
Coordinate purchasing activities and maintain inventory database.
Maintain vendor relationships and ensure timely delivery of supplies.
Optimize procurement processes for cost effectiveness and efficiency.
Education & Experience- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field preferred.
- Two or more years of procurement or supply chain experience.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite with specific experience in creating and maintaining spreadsheets.
- Professional oral, written, and presentation communication skills.
- Excellent organizational and time‑management abilities, attention to detail, and problem‑solving skills.
