Clerical Specialist - Combined Courts at Milwaukee County
Base pay range: $16.70/hr - $25.05/hr
Position type:
Full-time, Entry level. Employment function:
Courts.
Under general supervision, perform specialized clerical work in the Circuit Courts, including preparation of statutory documents, record entry, scheduling, customer service, and assistance with special projects. Responsibilities include case and document generation, analysis of case status, court record entries, scheduling hearings, advising users, and ensuring accuracy of data.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities- Coordinate daily court workflow by analyzing and verifying calendars and records for complete hearings.
- Assist the public and attorneys with information and procedural issues.
- Enter data into CCAP and accept documents for filing.
- Scan and upload documents into CCAP per Supreme Court Rules.
- Answer court telephone calls, process and distribute mail.
- Support special projects or reports, including training new staff.
- Provide customer support in person and telephonically.
High School Diploma or GED. Current Wisconsin resident. At least 1 year of clerical or secretarial work experience, ideally in courts.

Physical:
Standing, sitting, hearing, talking, visual, typing, manual dexterity; up to 25 lbs lift. Environmental: high-volume public contact, frequent task changes.
