Job Details
The Staff Auditor will contribute to the performance of internal, financial, regulatory, and SOX projects by taking direction and completing work as assigned and supervised by an Internal Auditor or Internal Audit Manager. The role will be responsible for executing audits based on the annual audit schedule to ensure that bank policies, processes, and procedures are being followed, internal controls and safeguards are in place, and are adequate, effective, and efficient.
WhatYou Will Be Doing As a Staff Auditor
- Execute internal audits in compliance with audit standards and procedures.
- Produce a quality audit work paper that is clearly documented in standard requirements.
- Adhere to audit schedule and ensure completion of audits in the timeframe and hours allowed.
- Demonstrate excellent oral and written communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with business partners throughout projects.
- Track issues to ensure completion of management action plans.
- Respect the confidentiality of information obtained during the execution of an audit.
- 0 – 2 years related experience, preferably in compliance, accounting, or internal audit.
- 2 – 4 years related experience, preferably in compliance, accounting, or internal audit.
- Bachelor’s Degree.
- Bachelor’s Degree in a business discipline such as Accounting, Finance, Management, or Computer Information Systems.
- Additional education and/or experience: N/A.
Additionally, an individual must be flexible in work schedule and have the ability to travel between office locations if warranted and provide proof of insurance. A valid driver’s license is required. Driving record must be in accordance with WSB’s Vehicle Safety Policy.
