Accountant, Financial Reporting, Senior Accountant

Location: Remote (MUST be local to Greater Milwaukee)

Bonus: 10% target

A growing technology company is seeking an Accountant to support day-to-day accounting operations and assist with month-end close and financial reporting. This role is ideal for someone with a solid accounting foundation who enjoys rolling up their sleeves, working closely with leadership, and growing into expanded responsibility over time. You’ll partner directly with the company’s senior accounting leader, gaining broad exposure across the business in a fast-moving, collaborative environment.

• Prepare and distribute recurring customer invoices; reconcile billing activity to system reports
• Record and maintain journal entries, including accruals, prepaids, payroll-related entries, and equity activity
• Assist with month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes
• Perform balance sheet and income statement reconciliations
• Support revenue accounting activities, including deferred revenue tracking and contract review
• Maintain general ledger accuracy and ensure compliance with GAAP
• Assist with financial statement preparation and internal reporting
• Prepare schedules and documentation for tax filings and audits
• Partner cross-functionally with operations, sales, and client-facing teams to ensure accurate financial data
• Contribute to process improvements, system enhancements, and automation initiatives

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• 1–3 years of accounting experience (relevant internship experience will be considered)
• Working knowledge of GAAP; exposure to revenue accounting preferred
• Experience supporting month-end close and account reconciliations
• Experience with accounting systems such as Quick Books or similar platforms
