We’re seeking an organized, detail-oriented Accounting Operations Specialist to join our team and help manage our expanding operations. They will play a key role in supporting the financial and operational functions of the firm. This position is ideal for a motivated professional who thrives in a fast‑paced, hands‑on environment and enjoys wearing multiple hats. The role combines accounting, property management, and administrative support for our development and investment activities.
WhatYou’ll Do
- Manage Accounts Payable: process invoices, code expenses, and ensure timely vendor payments.
- Handle Accounts Receivable: issue invoices, post payments, and reconcile accounts.
- Oversee rent collections and maintain tenant ledgers.
- Code journal entries, assist with monthly reconciliations and financial reporting.
- Assist with day-to-day management of a local portfolio of ~25 residential/commercial units.
- Handle tenant communications, lease renewals, and maintenance coordination.
- Perform lease abstracts and update internal databases.
- Assist in onboarding new properties into accounting and management systems.
- Coordinate with vendors, consultants, and contractors.
- Provide administrative and organizational support as needed.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
- 2+ years of experience in accounting, property management, or real estate operations.
- Strong understanding of basic accounting principles (A/P, A/R, GL, reconciliations).
- Experience with property management software (e.g., App Folio, Yardi, Buildium, or similar) a plus.
- Proficient in Google Workspace, Microsoft Excel, and general office software.
- Excellent attention to detail, organization, and time management skills.
- Strong interpersonal and communication abilities; comfortable interfacing with tenants, vendors, and team members.

CompensationSalary: $50,000 - $70,000 (based on qualifications and experience), plus company performance bonus(es).
