Base pay: $17.00/hr – $19.00/hr.

• Model and deliver a distinctive and delightful customer experience.
• Register sales on assigned cash register and provide courteous, friendly, efficient checkout service.
• Assist the pharmacist under direct supervision in practicing pharmacy, using pharmacy systems to obtain patient and drug information and process prescriptions.
• Engage customers and patients by greeting them and offering assistance with products and services, resolving customer issues to ensure a positive experience.
• Model and share customer service best practices with team members.
• Recommend items for sale, provide trade‑up and companion items, and suggest additional purchases.
• Handle returns, voids, refunds, and exchanges; process OTC aisle assistance.
• Maintain counters, shelves, and merchandise; take inventory and keep records.
• Perform pharmacy duties including entering patient and drug info, filling prescriptions, verifying correctness, checking interactions, and scheduling workflow.
• Report prescription errors immediately and adhere to company policies, the Walgreen Co. Pharmacy Code of Conduct, and Good Faith Dispensing policy.
• Handle telephone calls that do not require pharmacist attention, including physician calls.
• Process manual claims for third‑party prescription services.
• Assist in pharmacy inventory management, ordering, unpacking, checking, and storing pharmaceuticals.
• Ensure compliance with state and local laws regarding regulated products.
• Construct and maintain displays, including promotional and seasonal merchandise.
• Assist with food item separation and stock rotation.
• Maintain knowledge of store systems, equipment, and policies.
• Provide customer service in the photo area (digital portrait, print, etc.).
• Assume web pick‑up responsibilities and orders.
• Help with exterior and interior maintenance to ensure a clean, neat store appearance.
• Maintain respectful relationships with coworkers.
• Complete special assignments and tasks as assigned.

• Earn and maintain PTCB certification and/or required state certification.
• Attend training, complete PPLs, and acquire continuing education credits.
• Maintain knowledge and skill in healthcare and pharmacy.

• Fluent reading, writing, and speaking in English.
• Willingness to work a flexible schedule including evenings and weekends.

• Six months of retail experience.
• Prior work experience with Walgreens.
• Strong math skills for accurate prescription filling.
• Good computer skills.
• Knowledge of store inventory control.
• PTCB certification.
