Job DescriptionThe Department of Health Science, at Curry College invites applications for a full-time, Assistant Professor in Exercise Science to begin in the academic year. The Assistant Professor will teach undergraduates, in-person, at our Milton, MA campus.
We seek a dynamic educator-scholar with expertise in exercise physiology and human performance testing who is committed to excellence in undergraduate teaching, applied laboratory instruction, and student mentorship. The successful candidate will teach courses in exercise physiology, laboratory-based exercise testing, and research methods; provide academic advising; contribute to curriculum development; and support program initiatives that prepare students for careers and advanced study in the field of Exercise Science.
This position will support the continued growth of the Exercise Science Program and contribute meaningfully to Curry College's strategic priorities, including career readiness, inclusive excellence, and community engagement.

Primary Responsibilities- Maintain a full teaching load in areas such as exercise physiology, exercise testing and human performance, and research methods;
- Advise undergraduate students in the Exercise Science major, supporting academic planning and career readiness;
- Develop and deliver experiential learning opportunities aligned with The Curry Commitment, including internships, practicum experiences, and undergraduate research;
- Collaborate with faculty and staff to advance strategic initiatives such as the Center for Innovation, First-Year Experience, and partnerships with the Neurodiversity Center;
- Contribute to departmental service, program growth and assessment, and curricular planning;
- Maintain an active scholarly agenda and professional development in a discipline-relevant area;
- Participate in college-wide efforts to promote diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging.
Minimum Qualifications
- Minimum of a PhD in Exercise Physiology or a closely related field.
- Minimum of 2 years' experience in career, clinical, and/or research experience within the field of Exercise Science.
- Hands‑on experience conducting laboratory-based exercise testing, including metabolic cart operation, calibration, and troubleshooting.
- Record of, or potential for participation in research, scholarly activity and professional development within the field of Exercise Science.
