Food Unit Lead

Job Summary

Coordinate activities of other food-service employees. Create an enjoyable dining experience for customers, staff, and visitors.

• Provide quality customer service with one-on-one attention to detail.
• Oversee and participate in food and beverage preparation and service, ensuring company standards for presentation, sanitation, safety, and portion control.
• Help plan menus and determine work procedures.
• Ensure timely, efficient meal service and supervise serving of meals.
• Respond to customer complaints promptly and via email for electronic complaints.
• Train employees, assign and coordinate work to promote efficiency and excellence in food and service.
• Prepare work schedules, expedite workflow, and use proper systems for required daily/weekly/monthly reports (inventory, cash, production records, payroll, time-keeping).
• Handle cash properly as established by the Food Accounting Manual.
• Order food and supplies from approved sources or purveyors.
• Direct and participate in overall sanitation and safety of the facility and employees, abiding by company standards and regulations.
• Develop sanitation schedule and ensure adherence to cleaning of kitchen and dining area, washing of utensils and equipment.
• Issue written and oral instructions.
• Help select and orient employees and oversee staff training in areas of responsibility.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Pay Range: $17.00‑$18.00 per hour (Full‑time, Day shift; schedule may vary).
