This is a full-time, entry-level position located within Amazon’s fulfillment centers, sort centers, delivery stations, or other operations buildings. Amazon seeks customer-focused individuals to lead teams of hourly employees across our operations network. Our warehouses are fast-paced environments where standing, walking, and on-the-floor conversations are common for supply chain leaders.
As an Area Manager, you will engage, lead, and develop your team in a warehouse environment, focusing on motivation, mentoring, and goal management. The position encompasses all openings in Florida, with site placement matched based on location preferences and availability. Relocation benefits are offered to eligible candidates.
Key responsibilities include:- Supporting, mentoring, and motivating 50-100 direct report Amazon Associates
- Working independently in an autonomous environment
- Standing/walking during shifts up to 12 hours
- Willingness to work shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays, typically on a 4-day work week
- Overseeing truck deliveries, handling and sorting packages, operating PIT equipment, and stepping in as needed
- Working in environments with variable noise levels
- Lifting up to 49 pounds and performing physical activities like pushing, pulling, squatting, bending, and reaching
- Climbing stairs if applicable
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree completed between May 2024 and August 2026 (all degree requirements met before start date)
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills
- Enrolled in or graduated with a degree in Supply Chain, Business/Management, Engineering, or a related field
