School Nurse

Phaxis Education is looking for a Registered Nurse (RN) to support one of our local schools in DE.

The nurse will provide both direct medical care and collaborative support within the educational setting, including participation in evaluations and IEP meetings.

• Provide direct nursing care to students, including:
• Diabetes management (blood glucose monitoring, insulin administration as applicable)
• Tube feeding and related medical supports
• Participate in evaluations, IEP meetings, and care planning for students with special needs
• Collaborate closely with special education staff, teachers, therapists, and administration
• Maintain accurate health documentation and ensure compliance with school health regulations
• Serve as a medical resource for staff and families

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Deleware
• Previous school nursing or pediatric/special education experience preferred
• Experience with:
  Diabetes care, Tube feedings, Medically complex students
• Strong communication, organization, and collaboration skills
• Ability to work independently in a school-based setting

• Stable, long-term assignment with a defined end date
• Meaningful work supporting medically complex and special education students
• Opportunity to work closely with an experienced district Lead Nurse
