News Reporter – Video Journalist

Overview

WRDE-COAST TV is located within minutes of the Atlantic Ocean and the beautiful beaches. We are an NBC affiliate that covers the coasts of Delaware, Maryland, and Virginia. We work in a new state-of-the-art digital facility, and we have a helicopter.

WRDE seeks an enterprising Video Journalist with at least two years’ experience to join our new morning broadcast team.

• Interview sources, write copy, and deliver stories on deadline for TV, our website, and our social media outlets.
• Shoot video and edit with Adobe Premiere Pro; learn and use the ENPS newsroom computer system.
• Be aggressive and thorough in breaking news situations; communicate clearly and effectively.

• Strong communication, writing, and interviewing skills; must enunciate clearly in a pleasant speaking voice.
• At least two years of experience; college degree required and two years’ experience.
• Ability to learn ENPS; experience shooting video and editing with Adobe Premiere Pro.
• Bi-lingual speech skills are a plus; knowledge of Delmarva is a plus.
