Our client

Our client is a well-established pavement markings and road services contractor operating across the Greater Toronto Area. The business is known for its strong reputation, high safety standards, and commitment to quality work and customer service.

This is an opportunity to lead a hands‑on service business with full operational responsibility, meaningful autonomy, and direct impact on performance and profitability.

Responsibilities
  • Lead all day‑to‑day operations with an owner’s mindset, setting expectations for safety, quality, and accountability.
  • Manage and support a small team of 30 employees including field crews and administrative staff through clear communication and servant leadership.
  • Price jobs, prepare quotes, submit bids, and manage work from start to finish, including scheduling, costing, margins, and close‑out.
  • Oversee project execution by coordinating crews, equipment, materials, and customers to ensure jobs are completed safely, on time, and to standard.
  • Maintain strong customer relationships through proactive communication and immediate issue resolution.
  • Oversee billing, job documentation, and job costing accuracy in collaboration with administrative staff.
  • Champion safety, ensure equipment is maintained and operational, and enforce safe work practices.
  • Monitor profitability, control labour and overhead costs, and implement systems and processes to improve efficiency and margins.
Qualifications
  • 5+ years of experience in contracting, road services, construction, paving, landscaping, or a similar service trade.
  • Proven experience managing crews, equipment, and fast‑paced field operations.
  • Strong understanding of job pricing, bidding, project management, and billing.
  • Valid driver’s license.
