Overall Purpose of the Role Under the direction of a Team Manager, you will deliver high-quality social work services to vulnerable children and families within statutory frameworks.

Using the Family Safeguarding model and a strengths-based approach, you will assess need, plan interventions and safeguard children while ensuring their voices and lived experiences shape all decision-making. Main Accountabilities Response to Need Provide professional leadership and specialist practice skills in complex and high-risk situations. Undertake robust assessments leading to clear, outcome-focused SMART plans. Ensure the child's voice informs all decisions and interventions.

Act as lead professional in safeguarding matters, adhering to statutory guidance and child protection procedures. Produce high-quality analytical reports for a range of forums, including court. Partnership Working Represent the Council at community level and work collaboratively with partner agencies. Develop effective multi-agency plans promoting independence and positive outcomes. Share information appropriately to safeguard children and promote welfare. Professional Development Maintain up-to-date knowledge of legislation, policy and practice.

Maintain Social Work England registration and meet CPD requirements. Contribute to workforce development by sharing knowledge and expertise. Professional Values and Standards Work in line with Social Work England Professional Standards and the Professional Capability Framework. Maintain accurate, high-quality records. Person Specification Qualifications Recognised Social Work qualification (Degree, Masters, PG Diploma or fast-track programme).
