Are you an experienced HGV Technician seeking a stable and rewarding opportunity? Our client, a reputable family-run recycling and transport company based in Milton Keynes, is actively looking to recruit a dedicated HGV Technician to join their workshop team. This is an excellent chance to work for a well-established business that values skilled technicians committed to delivering high-quality vehicle maintenance and repairs.

• Up to £22 per hour, depending on experience
• Monday to Friday working hours, 7:00am – 5:00pm
• Occasional Saturday mornings, paid at 1.5x
• IRTEC qualification funded
• HGV licence training provided

• Conducting six-weekly inspections as part of vehicle maintenance schedules
• Preparing vehicles for MOT testing and compliance
• Performing general servicing and repairs on a varied fleet
• Diagnosing mechanical and technical issues efficiently
• Ensuring all vehicles adhere to high safety and quality standards
• Managing workload independently, including parts procurement
• Maintaining accurate documentation of vehicle repairs and service history

• Level 3 qualification in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance or equivalent
• At least 5 years’ proven workshop experience working on HGVs or similar commercial vehicles
• Strong diagnostic and mechanical skills
• A valid Class 1 or Class 2 licence is advantageous; training can be provided
• Experience working on construction or specialist vehicles is beneficial but not essential
• Proactive attitude with the ability to manage own workload efficiently
