Field Service Engineer (Balers & Compacters)
Location:
Milton Keynes, Buckinghamshire (Accepting applicants from surrounding counties)
Salary: £33,000-£35,000 base salary (OTE £42,000-£60,000 per annum)
Hours:
Monday‑Friday 08.00‑16.30 + Door‑to‑Door paid + (Use the "Apply for this Job" box below).

The ClientInteraction have partnered with a rapidly expanding, rewarding, and innovative organisation based in the Suffolk area to support the growth of their engineering team. Due to continuous growth, we are looking for a skilled electromechanical engineer interested in learning, developing and progressing within the industrial cleaning machinery sector.
The Package- 28 days annual leave including bank holidays + 1 additional day per year / up to 25 days + Bank

- Occasional overnight stays (Paid subsidiaries, food & drink allowance)
- Overtime paid before hourly rate, 1.5x hourly after 16.30, Optional Weekend Work First four hours on Saturday paid at 1.5x, 2x for every hour after. Sundays & Public holidays are paid at 2x hourly rate
- Operate in a 1.5 hour radius of your location with door‑to‑door paid
- Opportunity for training & progression within to a senior role.
- Attend breakdowns, service and PPMs on an array of industrial‑scale compactor systems within the waste management industry.
- Use manual hand tools (spanners, screwdrivers), electrical hand tools (powered drills, grinders), lifting equipment (lifting slangs, hoists, etc.), and hot‑working tools (blowtorch, heat guns).
- Carry out electrical, electronic, mechanical fault finding alongside elements of hydraulic systems.
- Manage your time effectively to ensure work is carried out to a high standard in a timely manner.
- Update job reports and order parts when necessary.
- Ensure Health & Safety procedures are followed.
- Electrical, electrical and/or mechanical fault finding, repair & service experience would be advantageous.
- MIG/TIG welding experience is advantageous but not essential.
- Good level of electrical or mechanical knowledge; similar roles could include plant engineer, maintenance engineer, hydraulic engineer, pneumatic engineer, mechanical fitter, forklift engineer.
- Experience using electrical & mechanical tools.
- Previous experience as a mechanical, electrical or field‑based engineer. Any experience surrounding hydraulic systems/hoses, mechanical fault finding & repair alongside some base electrical work.
- Full UK Driver's Licence.
