Telephone Sales and Customer Service Operator About Us

With a combined turnover of £1.2bn and partnerships with over 290 suppliers, we work together to deliver exceptional value by negotiating competitive deals on behalf of our members. We also have a range of high quality own brand products.
Role Overview- Reporting to the Commercial Engagement and Development Manager, you will play a key role in supporting our members through proactive telephone sales and exceptional customer service. This position requires resilience, strong communication skills and the ability to build a rapport with our members.
- Sell own brand building materials and related products to members, ensuring clear communication of features and benefits.
- Handle inbound and outbound calls to support members with product information, promotions and deal with service queries.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with members through excellent listening and interpersonal skills.
- Resolve service issues promptly and professionally, ensuring compliance with service level agreements.
- Collaborate with internal teams to deliver a seamless customer experience.
- Maintain accurate records of interactions and follow-up actions.
- Demonstrate flexibility to take on new responsibilities as the role evolves.
- Hardworking and resilient with a positive attitude.
- Excellent communication and listening skills.
- Ability to build a rapport and trust with our members.
- Strong problem solving skills and attention to detail.
- A great team player who thrives in a collaborative environment.
- Adaptable and willing to learn new skills and processes.
- Previous experience in telesales and customer service is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with building materials or the merchant sector is an advantage.
- Competence in using Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and applications) and CRM systems.
