Experienced Dialysis Nurse Wanted for Satellite Unit

We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Dialysis Nurse to join our supportive nurse‑led satellite unit team, delivering high quality, individualised care to patients with chronic kidney disease.

Key responsibilities
  • Assess, plan, deliver and evaluate all aspects of nursing care for patients requiring haemodialysis.
  • Manage and maintain all types of vascular access, including AV fistulas, grafts and central venous catheters.
  • Monitor patient conditions during treatment, identify and manage potential complications (e.g. hypotension, bleeding) and act on changes in blood results.
  • Educate patients and their families on managing their condition, diet, fluid restrictions and self‑care to promote well‑being and independence.
  • Act as a shift coordinator when required, supervising junior staff and contributing to the smooth running of the unit.
  • Maintain accurate and up‑to‑date patient records and adhere to strict infection prevention measures.
Person specification
  • Essential
    :
    Registered Nurse, UK degree in Nursing, NMC registered, ongoing professional development, competent in independent clinical judgement, accurate documentation, ability to manage complications, strong communication skills.
  • Desirable
    :
    Experience in renal or acute setting, Dialysis setting, completion of a renal course, competence in administering intravenous medicines, flexibility, car driver licence.
