OverviewWe are currently looking for a Production Operative (Bar Saw) to join us at thyssenkrupp Materials UK. As the Production Operative, you will cut rolling product for various customers from design drawing, adhere to tight tolerances, and ensure customers receive high quality material.
This role includes working in a dynamic production environment, operating industrial saws, spending most of your shift on your feet, and completing repetitive, hands‑on tasks. Adherence to strict safety procedures and proper use of PPE is essential.
At our Milton Keynes site, we process metal bars and tubes in various grades and sizes. Our facilities include CNC machining with integrated robotics. Our materials serve aerospace, defence and medical sectors.
Shift Pattern- 40 hours a week
- Week 1: 6 am – 2 pm
- Week 2: 2 pm – 10 pm
- Operate the Bar Saw to a high quality and safe standard.
- Ensure warehouse traceability.
- Accurately set machines based on drawings and produce parts to order.
- Use forklifts to gather material and record all information on job sheets.
- Adhere to Health and Safety Policies and Procedures.
Essential experience, skills and knowledge:
- Experience working within a production environment.
- Ability to read drawings and record accurate details.
- Flexibility to help with other tasks.
- Strong communication and time management skills.
Desirable experience, skills and knowledge:
- Training can be provided for the right applicant.
- Forklift trained.
