Overview

General Manager – Milton Keynes – £55,000–£60,000
Are you an experienced and confident General Manager ready to lead a dynamic, high-profile site? We’re seeking an exceptional GM to oversee a vibrant, multi-functional venue featuring a thriving conference and events operation, alongside a large retail space that includes a unique urban food market with diverse street food pods! This is an exciting opportunity for a collaborative leader who can step into an established, high-performing team and elevate standards even further.

You’ll bring operational expertise, strong client management skills, and the confidence to lead from the front.

We’re seeking a driven, collaborative leader to take ownership of an exciting, multi-faceted site with huge potential for growth.

Responsibilities
  • Lead the day-to-day operations of a busy conference and events venue hosting up to 300 attendees.
  • Deliver exceptional client management across corporate conference and event bookings.
  • Ensure seamless operational delivery across all departments, maintaining high standards of service and presentation.
  • Collaborate effectively with building management and external commercial partners (e.g. guest services, security, facilities).
  • Drive financial performance, cost control and commercial growth opportunities.
  • Provide strong people leadership to an established team, fostering collaboration, accountability and continuous improvement.
  • Act as the visible, confident face of the site for clients, partners and stakeholders.
Qualifications
  • Proven experience as a General Manager or senior operations leader
  • Experience managing events beneficial
  • Strong client relationship management skills, with the ability to build credibility quickly.
  • Operationally focused, with a hands-on leadership style.
  • Experience working alongside building management teams is advantageous.
  • Commercially aware with solid financial understanding.
