Job Description
Location – EKFB IPT Milton Keynes – 3 times per week on site.
Salary
:
Base salary: £试看46,406 pa to c.£54,595pa depending on skills and experience. In addition, we offer a flexible benefits fund of 20% which is paid on top base salary and is fully pensionable, plus a range of competitive benefits – check them out in the Benefits section on our website.

AboutThe Role
- Provide commercial assurance to the Head of Commercial for all delivery commercial activities (HS2 & Supply Chain).
- Deliver commercial and contract management to maintain effective commercial control.
- Administer the obligations of the Project Manager under the NEC3 Contract, including assessment of:
- Variations and compensation events
- Contract payments
- Performance incentives
- Maintain effective cost verification.
- Review and analyse supply chain monthly reports to drive supply chain performance.
- Input contract-level performance information into monthly M reports.
- Participate and contribute to monthly contract and programme performance reviews, other ad‑hoc reviews and support final cost estimate updates.
- Support the settlement of supply chain disputes.
- Provide day‑to‑day ad‑hoc contract and commercial advice to the client team.
- Provide commercial assessments of project‑saving opportunities and support the development of associated proposals/business cases for approval.
- Support the development of a collaborative culture within the IPT that encourages innovation, enhances functional capability, creates consistency of performance, maximises benefits of knowledge sharing and embeds industry best practice across the organisation.
- Support commercial relationships and engagement with key contractors.

- Lead and review estimates.
- Provide second key corporate governance approval of change and risk draw‑down in accordance with governance requirements.
- Lead commercial resources, agree objectives, manage performance and development to ensure staff have necessary skills and support.
- Provide domain knowledge in developing and maintaining efficient and effective contract and commercial management policies, processes and procedures.
- Actively promote and embed Equality, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI) in all work and support compliance with organisational EDI initiatives, policies and procedures.
- Manage and administer high‑value and delivery‑critical contracts for major complex infrastructure projects and programmes.
- Develop commercial strategies and plans for capital projects.
- Support effective value‑driven management of commercial relationships with supply chain.
- Negotiate with internal and external parties and settle disputes.
- Manage stakeholder parties to achieve successful project outcomes.
- Develop commercial policies, processes and procedures.
- Support the development of commercial teams.
- Demonstrate contract, commercial and risk management skills.
- Experience managing commercial teams in infrastructure projects and programmes.
- Experience working with or for publicly funded bodies and/or projects.
- Experience planning, developing and implementing infrastructure contracts and working with procurement teams in tender preparation, administration and evaluation.
- Experience using commercial management and reporting systems.
