Betting Jobs are currently seeking a Night Shift Deputy Operations Manager for a leading supplier to the iGaming industry, based in their Milton Keynes office.
The Deputy Operations Manager will be responsible for ensuring that on-site operations run as smoothly as possible, contributing to the delivery of a market-leading iGaming product.
This role would be well-suited to an individual with experience in retail betting or a similar environment, with strong people management skills and a proven ability to lead successful teams.
Responsibilities- Lead and drive the performance and engagement of the team.
- Communicate comprehensive plans and implement agreed goals.
- Ensure all activity within the site complies with the requirements of the Gambling Commission, the Company's licence, and Health & Safety regulations, protecting customers, colleagues, and the business.
- Regularly monitor KPIs and data to ensure continuous improvement of site performance.
- Diligently manage all cost lines within budget and understand what is required to deliver ROI from all CAPEX spend.
- Create a high-performing team by ensuring people management activities such as recruitment, onboarding, training and development, and performance management are delivered and managed consistently to a high standard.
- Provide in-the-moment feedback to colleagues, fostering a high-support, high-challenge culture.
- Proactively address issues as they arise and be prepared to have difficult conversations when required.
- Ensure all colleagues receive timely, relevant, and meaningful communication through regular briefings with the management team.
- Experience working in a large single-site environment (betting, retail, or hospitality preferred) within a management role.
- An experienced manager with a strong track record of leading high-performing teams and improving colleague engagement.
- A strong implementer who can take appropriate action from agreed plans, data, and processes.
- Driven and enthusiastic, with the ability to inspire and motivate others.
- Able to prioritise a large and varied workload effectively to maximise business impact.
- Able to build strong, effective working relationships and operate as an active team member.
- An authentic and clear communicator, comfortable delivering simple, impactful messages and willing to face tough conversations.
- Ability to present ideas and recommendations clearly in verbal, written, and presentation formats, with confidence using Microsoft Excel, Teams, and Outlook.
