Overview
Our client is offering multiple opportunities for Data Technician Apprentices to join their organisation in Milton Keynes. This two-year Level 3 apprenticeship provides structured, hands-on experience within a data-driven environment, combined with a nationally recognised qualification.
This opportunity is ideal for individuals with a strong interest in data analysis, reporting, and business intelligence who are looking to begin their career in data. You will develop practical technical skills while supporting real business projects and decision-making processes.
Please note:
This is an apprenticeship role. Applicants with more than six months’ professional experience in a data-related role or who hold a degree (Level 6 or above) in a related subject such as Data Science, Mathematics, or Business Analytics are not eligible.
As a Data Technician Apprentice, responsibilities may vary depending on team placement but may include:
- Collecting and interpreting data from multiple internal and external sources
- Ensuring data accuracy, integrity, and reliability
- Cleaning, transforming, and organising datasets for analysis
- Producing reports, dashboards, and visualisations for stakeholders
- Supporting business teams with data insights and performance reporting
- Using Excel and other data tools to manipulate and analyse datasets
- Actively developing knowledge of data tools, methodologies, and best practices
- Working towards the Level 3 Data Technician apprenticeship qualification
You will be supported by a dedicated industry coach through a blended learning approach, including remote learning, in-person sessions, 1-2-1 support, and group workshops.
Requirements Education- Minimum of 5 GCSEs (Grades 9–4 or A–C), including Maths and English
- Must have the right to work in the UK
- Must meet government apprenticeship funding eligibility criteria, including residency requirements
- Must not have more than six months’ professional experience in a data-related role
- Must not hold a Level 4 qualification or above in a related discipline (e.g., Data Science, Mathematics, Business Analytics)
- Must not be enrolled in another government-funded learning programme
- Strong attention to detail and high levels of accuracy
- Analytical and logical problem-solving skills
- Ability to gather, organise, and manipulate data from various sources
- Good communication skills to present findings clearly
- Proactive approach to learning and skills development
