IT Technician

We’re looking for an IT Technician to join a busy IT function supporting office-based and remote users across the UK. This is a hands-on role offering plenty of variety, exposure to a broad range of technologies, and opportunities to develop your skills.

You’ll work closely with senior IT leadership and be responsible for providing day-to-day technical support, maintaining systems, and supporting IT infrastructure across multiple sites.

• Providing telephone and remote IT support to office and mobile users
• Occasional field-based IT support (including potential overnight stays)
• Sourcing, building, setting up and testing IT hardware (desktops, laptops, printers, CCTV)
• Managing and maintaining an IT asset register
• Installing and maintaining antivirus software and resolving malware issues
• Creating and maintaining user accounts on Windows Server 2012 onwards (local and remote access)
• Installing and supporting Cat 5e cabling and WiFi networks
• Monitoring existing broadband connections and setting up/configuring new connections
• Installing and maintaining VoIP phone systems
• Supplying, setting up and supporting mobile phones and MiFi devices

Full training will be provided where required.

Some flexibility is needed around working hours, including paid overtime or adjusted start/finish times when required. Advance notice will be provided wherever possible.

• At least 12 months’ experience in a similar IT support or IT technician role
• Strong customer service skills with solid Microsoft technical knowledge
• Good understanding of mobile devices, including common faults and repairs
• Experience with Windows Server 2012, MS Exchange and Hyper‑V is advantageous
• Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle

• Salary of £32,000 – £37,000 depending on experience
