Hours: Full Time, Office based in Milton Keynes.
Remuneration: Dependent on experience
OverviewWe are seeking a Compliance Consultant to join the Pertemps Medical compliance team in a support capacity to start with. This role is primarily focused on ensuring compliance for healthcare professionals, mostly doctors, within the locum medical division.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to build a long-term career in compliance within the healthcare sector. Full training will be provided to meet our internal standards and regulatory expectations. As experience and competence develop, there is potential to progress into managing a team of Recruitment Consultants (RC) & their healthcare professionals.
Key Responsibilities- Supporting the compliance process for healthcare professionals, ensuring all required documentation is obtained, verified, and maintained in line with client standards and Health Trust Europe (HTE) / Workforce Alliance (WFA) framework requirements
- Conducting PVG, DBS, and Access
NI checks. - Conducting Professional registration number checks.
- Completing right-to-work checks, occupational health clearance, and reference checks
- Maintaining accurate and up-to-date compliance records using Eclipse CRM
- Liaising with candidates, internal teams, and external bodies to resolve compliance queries efficiently
- Supporting internal and external audits
- Ensuring ongoing adherence to healthcare regulations and best practice guidelines
- Full training will be provided to ensure compliance is completed to our expectations
- Ongoing support and development within the role
- Opportunity to progress to managing RC compliance following successful training and performance
- £25,000–£26,000 for candidates with no previous compliance experience
- £27,000 for candidates with some compliance experience
- £28,000 for candidates with a minimum of 2 years’ experience within a doctors’ compliance environment
The commission will be confirmed following the successful completion of probation.
Skills and Experience- Strong attention to detail
- Organised, methodical, and able to manage multiple tasks
- Confident communicator, both written and verbal
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Competent IT skills and ability to learn new systems
- Previous compliance experience (healthcare preferred but not essential)
- Understanding of medical staffing compliance requirements
- Experience working with doctors, nurses, or HCAs
- Fast-paced and detail-focused
