Financial Accounting Manager

Reed Finance is proud to be working in partnership with a leading organisation to recruit an experienced and commercially astute Head of Financial Accounting. Reporting directly to the CFO, this is a senior leadership role within a fast-paced, dynamic environment. You’ll be responsible for overseeing financial accounting operations, ensuring compliance with statutory requirements, and driving process improvements across the Finance function.

Duties Include:

Lead and manage the Financial Accounts team, ensuring timely and accurate delivery of monthly and annual financial statements Oversee balance sheet reconciliation processes, ensuring compliance and minimising financial exposure Manage internal controls and provide assurance on accounting risk management Drive staff development and performance management, promoting training and resource optimisation Manage external and internal audit processes, representing the business alongside senior leadership Ensure compliance with IFRS and UK GAAP, including statutory reporting and tax submissions (VAT, corporation tax) Oversee Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and Banking functions, ensuring adherence to procedures and timely payments Manage provisions and risk cost expectations in alignment with IFRS requirements Support preparation of statutory accounts and group reporting requirements Requirements:
Must be fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) Strong technical knowledge of IFRS, UK GAAP, VAT, and tax compliance Proven experience in audit and statutory accounting Excellent leadership and team development skills Highly analytical with exceptional attention to detail and problem-solving ability Strong communication and presentation skills, capable of influencing senior stakeholders The Business:

Salary and Benefits :
