OverviewAs part of the Finance and Controlling team, you will report to the Head of Controlling and play a pivotal role in ensuring effective financial planning, control, and governance of fixed costs across the business.
Responsibilities- Lead fixed cost budget control: analyse and control truck fixed cost budgets, ensure accurate tracking by cost centre and general ledger codes, prepare and review accruals and budget performance against plan, and approve purchase requisitions for correct coding.
- Monthly reporting & KPI tracking: deliver timely and accurate monthly performance reports, including KPIs agreed with truck management, and provide insights into cost trends, risks, and opportunities.
- Month‑end financial processes: prepare and process monthly accruals, prepayments, recharges, and provisions; ensure accurate balance‑sheet reconciliations for G&A and marketing costs.
- Budgeting & forecasting: deliver the annual budgeting process and regular re‑forecasts for all G&A and marketing; conduct monthly reviews with budget holders to discuss actuals and forecasts, challenge variances, and support cost‑control efforts.
- Internal Control System (ICS) management: oversee the end‑to‑end ICs submission process, ensuring all control requirements are met in line internal policies and external audit/compliance standards.
- Degree in Accounting, Finance or related discipline.
- Professional accounting qualification (ACCA, CIMA, or ACA).
- Minimum 3–5 years’ experience in cost controlling or financial planning.
- Strong forecasting and financial data analysis skills.
- Advanced Excel, Power Pivot, Power Query, Power BI, Power Automate, SAP & SAC (Cloud) including CO-PA and FI modules.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills, with the ability to explain financial concepts to non-finance stakeholders.
- Confident in engaging and constructively challenging stakeholders at all levels, including senior management.
- Knowledge of the automotive or motor industry an advantage.
Full‑time hybrid: work from our Milton Keynes head office a minimum of two days a week.
