Cost and ICS Controller

Responsibilities

Sitting within our Finance and Controlling team here at Daimler Trucks UK, we have an exciting Cost andICS Controller opportunity waiting just for you. Reporting into the Head of Controlling, you will play a pivotal role within the Controlling department to ensure effective financial planning, control, and governance of fixed costs across the business. This includes regulation of fixed cost budgets, ensuring compliance through accurate coding and PR approvals, and delivering timely reporting and analysis to support strategic decision‑making.

The role also manages internal control submissions, supports audit readiness, and collaborates with departments to maintain strong financial discipline and transparency.

• Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline
• Professional accounting qualification (ACCA, CIMA, or ACA)
• Minimum 3-5 years’ experience in cost controlling or financial planning
• Strong forecasting and financial data analysis skills
• Zero Base Budgeting Experience
• Advanced Excel, Power Pivot, Power Query, Power BI, Power Automate, SAP & SAC (Cloud) including CO‑PA and FI Modules
• Excellent communication and organisational skills, with the ability to explain financial concepts to non‑finance stakeholders
• Confident in engaging and constructively challenging stakeholders at all levels, including senior management
• Knowledge of the automotive or motor industry an advantage
