Role DescriptionReporting to the Senior Central Team Manager, you will nurture a portfolio of remotely managed SMEs that were onboarded through our outreach activities. In addition to servicing your own customers, you will line‑manage a small team of Central Relationship Managers.
Principal Accountabilities- Remote relationship‑manage a portfolio of established SME businesses, providing secured lending including commercial mortgages and asset finance, along with current accounts and deposit facilities.
- Proactively manage credit risk of your portfolio, using data alerts and insights to identify early warning indicators and support further advances where required.
- Work closely with business owners to support their plans and ambitions through originating new lending opportunities from enquiry to completion, assessing and proposing credit documentation in line with Allica’s credit policies and appetite.
- Lead and develop a small team of relationship managers, providing coaching and support, with regular performance reviews and intervention where appropriate.
- Communicate and track key objectives within your portfolio and your team to ensure high levels of service and customer outcomes.
- Actively manage your own objectives and personal development plan, supporting the Senior Central Manager with the delivery of the team goals and ambitions.
- Evidently demonstrate the ability to work independently to support SMEs with their requirements, and coach others.
- Collaborate with varying teams across Allica Bank to ensure a seamless and professional service is always delivered.

- Comply with all mandatory policies and adhere to operational procedures.
- Deep passion for supporting and helping established SMEs to grow and achieve their ambitions.
- Self‑starter, organised and flexible in a fast‑paced environment.
- Highly capable relationship builder, with a record of delivering support for SMEs through financing, deposit facilities and banking services.
- Strong credit skills, able to analyse financial accounts and propose suitable structures that aid business goals while mitigating identified risks.
- Strong understanding of SME banking, including commercial lending and securities.
- Ability to deliver against challenging personal goals and support a team to do the same.
- Background in generating and unlocking new opportunities from an existing portfolio of clients as well as attracting new clients to the bank.
