Financial Consultant, Financial Manager
In this high impact role, you'll play a key role in shaping cross‑functional change initiatives and ensuring Finance stays at the heart of every change. You'll identify opportunities to improve processes, coordinate Finance involvement in major initiatives, and make sure everything meets financial controls and regulatory compliance standards. This role is perfect for someone who thrives on problem‑solving, planning, and collaborating to deliver smooth, impactful change.
Responsibilities- Be the Finance change champion – deliver a consultative service to the business and lead projects that transform processes, systems, and reporting to keep us ahead in a fast‑moving, changing regulatory landscape on behalf of the Finance Department.
- Collaborate and influence – work closely with IT, Product and business teams, acting as the voice of Finance to ensure successful outcomes.
- Shape the future of Finance – assess the impact of new initiatives, advise on solutions, and ensure changes deliver real value.
- Drive innovation and efficiency – analyse processes and data flows, identify improvements, and implement best practices that boost performance.
- Own Finance's role in technology upgrades – manage testing, system enhancements, and business transitions to deliver seamless change.
- Champion automation and digitalisation – support RPA initiatives and help Finance embrace smarter ways of working.
- Deliver measurable impact – identify, quantify and monitor benefits, report progress, and ensure every change adds value to the business.
- Build knowledge and capability – document changes and processes, share insights, and help Finance teams stay informed and ready for change.
- Change‑management know‑how – proactive team member, able to lead and manage multiple change initiatives concurrently for the Finance Department; experience with Prince2 or Lean Six Sigma is a plus.
- Financial services background – solid understanding of industry practices and regulations.
- Finance systems expertise – knowledge of SAP and core Finance processes (month‑end, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, transaction processing, double‑entry/postings).
- Process‑improvement leader – proven track record of implementing new processes, IT change, driving efficiency and delivering impactful change.
- Analytical mindset – ability to use data and analytics to solve complex problems.
- Process mapping skills – familiarity with tools and techniques (e.g., Lean Six Sigma) to diagnose and improve workflows.
- Tech‑savvy communicator – strong skills in Excel, PowerPoint and Business Objects to present complex topics simply.
- Influential collaborator – confident in engaging with stakeholders at all levels and building strong relationships across Finance and the organisation.
- Clear communicator – able to explain complex information and influence decisions up to senior leadership.
