The Role (why this job exists)

Own the finance engine of Riot end to‑end, from rock solid accounting and compliance through to forecasting, commercial insight and cash management. You’ll partner across the business (Operations, Sales, Marketing, Production) and report directly to the COO. You’ll also line manage and develop a Finance Officer.

What you’ll own

• Own month end, management accounts and reconciliations
• Ensure accuracy and integrity of the P&L and balance sheet
• Keep us compliant and audit‑ready at all times
• Lead budgeting and re‑forecasting cycles
• Build models that explain performance and drive decisions
• Partner with budget owners to optimise cost centres, margins and ROI
• Manage VAT, Corporation Tax and statutory returns
• Coordinate with external accountants and advisers as needed
• Turn messy data into clarity – unit economics, pricing, promotions, paybacks
• Automate the boring stuff; champion better tools and smarter processes

Treasury & cash

• Own cashflow, liquidity and working capital
• Anticipate funding needs and manage FX exposure where relevant

What you’ll bring;

Must‑haves

• Ideally recently qualified;
  Big 4 training is a plus (PwC, EY, KPMG, Deloitte)
• Strong technical grounding, but even stronger commercial intuition
• Clear communicator – you can tell the story behind the numbers and influence action
• Real ownership mindset: proactive, practical, outcomes focused

Nice to haves

• Experience in consumer products, FMCG or scale‑up environments
• Exposure to VAT complexities, inventory flows and multi‑channel sales
• Familiarity with ERP systems
