They are now looking to appoint an experienced and action-orientated Machine Service and Commissioning Engineer to support the service and maintenance of existing customer machines and also lead on the installation and commissioning of new machines at customer sites.
The successful candidate will be technically experienced, flexible, positive and an intuitive problem solver; passionate about getting the right solution for customers and keeping projects on track. The role, which will involve extensive travel, will by nature require independent working at times and working as part of a customer focussed team at others.
This role is pivotal in the success of customer projects and is an excellent opportunity to join a business that works with some of the most technically innovative manufacturing solutions in leading brands across the food industry.
Responsibilities- Act as an expert in technical support for new and existing customers.
- Lead service delivery and machine breakdown support across customer sites, troubleshooting and developing rapid corrective action planning where required.
- Manage and lead the installation and commissioning phase of capital projects on customer sites.
- Work collaboratively with customer contacts to build strong and proactive customer relationships.
- Build strong working relationships with colleagues across the company, especially the project team, to ensure smooth project delivery and customer satisfaction.
- Ensure all records of work completed are accurate and timely.
- Champion the company’s commitment to excellence in customer service throughout the customer journey.
- Act as a company ambassador, internally and externally, consistently living and breathing the culture and values.
- Higher qualification (HND or above) in electrical and mechanical engineering.
- Knowledge and experience of robotics and ultrasonic systems is desirable.
- Proven experience and success in troubleshooting and problem solving.
- Strong credentials in successfully engaging customer stakeholders.
- A strong and committed performer whether working independently or as part of a team.
- Self-motivated, clear communicator with a passion for building long-lasting customer relationships.
- Ability to travel across the UK and overseas for on-site servicing and installations including overnight stays where necessary.
