Salary: up to £55,000 + Bonus + Benefits

Location: Onsite - Milton Keynes

Working hours: 8:30am - 5:30pm - Monday - Friday

An established global brand and technology-led organisation is seeking a 2nd/3rd Line IT Engineer to join its core IT Infrastructure function, supporting a diverse range of business critical systems while contributing to ongoing modernisation and transformation initiatives.

The 2nd/3rd Line IT Engineer position offers a unique opportunity for an ambitious, hands‑on engineer who is eager to develop, keen to learn and motivated by a role where no two days look the same. Also, the 2nd/3rd Line IT Engineer will gain exposure to core infrastructure technologies, project delivery and advanced technical environments, with clear scope to progress into a full 3rd Line Infrastructure position.

• Deliver hands‑on support across a range of business critical systems, ensuring stability, high performance and rapid issue resolution
• Maintain and enhance core infrastructure services, including servers, virtual environments, storage platforms and security controls whilst also assisting with 2nd line tasks when required
• Take ownership of improving monitoring, reliability and visibility across key operational systems
• Support the rollout of new technical solutions, contributing to planning, configuration and smooth integration into the wider estate
• Work closely with teams across the business to understand requirements and translate them into practical technical actions
• Uphold best practices in system administration, security, documentation and change control
• Drive continuous improvement by identifying opportunities to streamline processes, modernise systems and adopt new technologies
