Complex Needs SEN Teaching Assistant – Bletchley

Role: SEN Teaching Assistant

Location:

Bletchley (Buckinghamshire)
Salary: £90–£120 per day
Start: ASAP – Temporary to Permanent

Are you an experienced SEN Teaching Assistant with a passion for supporting students with complex learning needs? Our welcoming school in Bletchley is seeking a dedicated and compassionate individual to join their team and make a meaningful impact in the lives of children who require tailored, holistic support.

This is a fantastic opportunity to work within an inclusive setting where every child is valued. You will play a key role in helping students with a range of complex needs—including learning difficulties, sensory needs, autism, communication challenges, medical needs, and behavioural regulation—access learning and develop essential life skills.

The Role:

Provide 1:1 and small‑group support for students with a range of complex needs
Implement individual education plans (IEPs), behaviour plans, and sensory regulation strategies
Assist the class teacher in adapting lessons and creating an inclusive, engaging learning environment
Support students with emotional regulation, social interaction, and communication
Work closely with the SENCO, therapists, and teaching staff to track progress and provide effective support
Promote independence, confidence, and positive learning experiences
Assist with personal care or medical routines if required (training provided)

The Ideal Candidate :

Previous experience working with students with complex needs within an SEN or mainstream setting
Understanding of SEN strategies such as sensory integration, emotional regulation, visual supports, or communication aids
Strong interpersonal and organisational skills
Resilience, patience, and empathy—alongside a genuine commitment to supporting vulnerable learners
A relevant qualification is beneficial, though not essential if willing to undertake training
