Woking (Office Based) Salary: £78,000 £ 85,000  Package Job Type: Permanent About the Company Established carpentry & joinery contractor delivering high-quality packages across residential and commercial projects. The business has built a strong reputation for delivery and is now looking for a commercially astute Quantity Surveyor to take ownership of the commercial function. This is not a sit in the background role.

This is a leadership-level commercial position.

The Role You will take full ownership of the commercial side of the business, overseeing projects from tender through to final account. This role would suit someone currently working as a:
Quantity Surveyor within a carpentry or joinery contractor QS / Estimator within a specialist subcontractor Fit-out QS with strong experience managing carpentry or joinery packages You must be comfortable operating with autonomy and being the commercial lead.

Key Responsibilities Full commercial management of carpentry & joinery packages Tender pricing and estimating where required Cost control and cash flow management Subcontractor procurement and account management Variations, valuations and final accounts Client liaison and commercial negotiations Reporting directly to Directors

What Were Looking For Proven experience as a QS within carpentry, joinery or fit-out Strong understanding of subcontractor package management Experience pricing carpentry/joinery works Commercially confident and able to operate independently Strong negotiation and contractual knowledge Stable career history Whats On Offer £78,000 £ 85,000 salary (depending on experience) Permanent position Long-term stability within a growing business Direct impact and influence on company performance Clear progression to Commercial Manager level
