We are a well-established, family-run construction company based in Milton Keynes, specialising in building and high-quality joinery projects. Our work spans residential developments and education projects (schools), with a strong reputation for craftsmanship, long-term client relationships, and a supportive, down-to-earth working culture.

We are seeking an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to take commercial responsibility across multiple projects from pre-contract through to final account. You will play a key role in supporting project delivery while working closely with directors, site teams, and clients.

This is an excellent opportunity for a commercially strong QS who enjoys autonomy and wants to be part of a close-knit, growing business.

• Full commercial management of projects from tender to final account
• Preparing and managing budgets, cost plans, and cash flow forecasts
• Procurement of subcontractors and materials
• Valuations, variations, and change control
• Managing subcontractor accounts and final accounts
• Supporting pre-construction and tendering where required
• Working collaboratively with site managers and directors
• Ensuring commercial best practice and risk management

• Proven experience as a Senior Quantity Surveyor (or experienced QS ready to step up)
• Background in building / main contracting (joinery experience advantageous)
• Experience delivering residential and/or education projects
• Strong commercial and contractual knowledge
• Confident communicator with a practical, hands-on approach
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects
